Wix.com, a software-as-a-service website builder platform is partnering with Global-e Online, a provider of direct-to-consumer (DTC) cross-border ecommerce solutions, to offer Wix merchants a more advanced international cross-border selling solution. This partnership builds on Wix’s existing ecommerce capabilities, allowing merchants to expand their businesses by tapping into Global-e’s cross-border functionalities, so they can seamlessly enter and sell in new global markets.

With Global-e, Wix merchants will be able to support multiple currency transactions, benefit from customizable pricing capabilities and even tailor digital experiences to local tastes and preferences.

Creating a Tailored Ecommerce Experience

Through the new partnership, Wix.com sellers will have access to:

  • Multi-currency selling capabilities to present pricing and accept payments in more than 100 currencies, so consumers can browse and buy in their local currency.

  • A customized welcome message and checkout process that includes payment methods, shipping options and language translation.

  • Advanced tax and duty setup that aligns with local market regulations and best practices, providing global customers with the total cost of their purchase at checkout.

  • Pricing capabilities allow merchants to set rates for products in different countries to better cater to regional markets.

  • Enhanced international payment processes that allow merchants to offer a wide variety of payment methods in each market, such as online payment options and buy-now-pay-later. Merchants also will have access to an international payments fraud prevention solution to mitigate risk.

  • End-to-end international logistics solution that covers multiple shipping options, local and pre-paid returns, customer service portal and import processing.

  • Wix merchants can leverage Global-e’s data-driven business intelligence models and best practices to optimize their global experiences and speed up time to market.

“We are committed to empowering our merchants to grow their business in the global marketplace and provide them with the tools they need for streamlined international expansion,” said Oren Inditzky, VP of Online Stores at Wix in a statement. “Our collaboration with Global-e removes the complications involved in selling online internationally, enabling Wix merchants to maximize their reach globally, breaking down barriers to international commerce.
